Before taking the trip that would lead to the adoption of her daughter Lily from China in 1999, Beth worked for Senator Richard Lugar’s staff before getting her Masters’ Degree in Psychology. She worked as a counselor at a community mental health center before writing her memoir Forever Lily, which tells the story of her unexpected journey to motherhood. Beth founded GoodTrueBeautiful, Inc. in 2008, which will launch its first product line, a fragrance inspired by the beauty of the adoption experience.
